Summary

Pocket Ledger is a local-first expense tracker. Your financial data is stored entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your expense data to any server.

What We Don't Collect

Your expense entries, amounts, categories, or notes
Bank account information (we never ask for it)
Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
Your location

What We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous usage data to improve the app:

App events: Anonymous counts of actions like "expense added" or "summary viewed." These contain no financial data — only that an action occurred.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, we receive an anonymous error report to help us fix bugs. This contains no expense data.

This data is sent to our server and cannot be linked to you as an individual. There are no user accounts, no login, and no tracking cookies.

Data Storage

All expense data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage (SQLite). If you delete the app, your data is permanently deleted. We have no backup of your data because we never had access to it.

In-App Purchases

Pro features are purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Third-Party Services

Apple App Store: Handles downloads and payments. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat: Manages subscription status. Receives only an anonymous app user ID. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Pocket Ledger does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account and collects no personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
